Hello, I'm Lisa von Kalben, born on December 28, 1967, and I proudly call Pueblo, Colorado, my home. Beyond my roles as a skilled hairdresser and dedicated Realtor®, my essence is rooted in an adventurous spirit and unwavering resilience.

My journey took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) on December 24, 2023. In the face of this challenge, I've embraced each day with courage and determination, supported by my loving son, Parker, and an incredible circle of friends and family.

Beyond my professional roles, I'm an adventurer at heart. From paddleboarding and kayaking to yoga, spinning, and active community engagement. I find joy and strength in staying active and connected.

In the ICU, I'm navigating this chapter of my life with a positive spirit, knowing that the power of community and unity is the driving force behind my journey.

Lisa is recovering from an infection and is working on getting home for a short period of time. We'll provide updates but we are not wanting visitors at this time to reduce the risk of an additional infection.

Finding a suitable donor match for Lisa's bone marrow transplant has proven to be a unique challenge due to her heritage. To increase the chances of finding a compatible donor, Lisa is being added to the "BeTheMatch" donor registry. We encourage individuals between the ages of 18-40 to consider joining the registry.
